2-1
Well today is a half and half. Half good, half bad. I woke up to see that it was kinda sunny outside so i was really happy. Came to school, went through my first 4 classes fine. But then at lunch or right after lunch i went to Mr Pelico's room to get my test. I was totally shocked and speechless when i saw how BAD i did on the test.... sigh fml... so after seeing my score on my test, i was kinda sad and like quiet for kinda the remainder of the day. But when school was over, my mood flipped (mood swings... seems like i'm on my period o.o) and was really excited for tennis cause it was sunny and not too cold. Perfect tennis weather. I got to the courts and did some drills. I felt like i did pretty well today, i actually got the ball over the net with my backhands. Then after that, drills were done and Mr. Wong said that we're gonna do a doubles tournament. I prayed that i wasn't going to be partnered with jim, cause we've always have trouble playing to together in the past (also mentioned in the previous blog post) So i was PRAYING i wasn't going to be with jim. He went through the list of players and they all said who their partners were, and at the end.... me and jim were left... so we were partnered up again... So we were partnered up and played in the tournament. Our first match was against Shane and Zach, probably the worst pair to play.. We played and the score at the end was 3-1 which we pretty much predicted. Then our next match was against Alexis and Huy, another bad pair to play cause Alexis went to state last year. BUT luckly Alexis wasn't playing like her regular self or has an injury or something cause that's the only way to explain why we won. The match went into a tie, 2-2, but we got luck and won the game point. So after that we were 1-1, which is pretty good comparing to our previously record from last time we were paired up (0-3 -.-) So then we played our last match, which was against Matt and Calvin, two tennis academy players. By comparing playing experiences, it would seem that they would win for sure cause they learned in tennis academy while we just learned and played for fun. But (yup another but) we won that one too. That match also went into a tie and once again we won the tie breaker point. So we ended the tournament with a 2-1 record, which we'll take even if it was all luck. Haha we even told Mr. Wong that it was all luck cause he was kinda surprised with our record. But he said that our opponents underestimated us. We then said it was just luck. haha then he argued that eventhough our shots were ugly (or something like that) our shots somehow finds it's way to stay in court, which to me made me feel like i gained the approval of Mr. Wong :]
