Day of Reckoning
haha today, the tennis team had a ice-cream/awards get together or w/e. it originally was suppose to be a barbecue, but i guess we were too cheap to afford meat, so mr wong got soda and ice cream instead and made root bear floats... -.- so i got only one cup and i was kinda looking forward to the barbecue but that's what happens when the guys don't win much... congrats on the girl's season tho, they were awesome. So after we had our lousy, one scoop and like half a can of soda, root bear floats, we started to hand out awards. I didn't get much, but i'm cool with that, didn't expect anything more than i certificate. But the interesting thing was.... the pile of certificates were not alphabetical AND YET i was the last one... was it or was it not cause of my last name... no one knows... the awards went pretty much as i had planned or voted. Mike got most improved for jv, which he deserves and cause i voted for him. He has come a long way from all those swings that caught nothing but air and maybe some flies. The girls' award, i didn't have anything to disagree with. The only award that i didnt really agree with was probably the varsity guys' most inspirational. Jing is considered an inspiration, but maybe Chu or Larry was alittle bit more w/e. But o well. So inbetween our award ceremony, the clouds came in and brought this crazy gut, it was just blowing everything. freaking beast as hell. It blew so much sand and dust, that everyone was like getting a allergic reaction, cause i certainly did. my eyes just started to itch and i started sneezing. So we moved the tennis thing inside and as i was walking inside, my freaking certificate, which i had in my hand, blew away. fml. i started to case after it, like one of those scene in movies where some guy loses his hat and has to case after it, and when he think he caught up to it, it blows away again. yea, that happened to me... so we went inside and finished up the awards. After that i started to head home, outside was still gusting and everything. When i got to the bus stop, someone said that max was closed cause something about tornado warning or something. So everyone had to take the 70 home. on our way home, it started to pour down like crazy. it was like flooding or something. When i got off the bus like 20 min later due to the traffic, i saw lightning o.o ahhhh it looked like the world was about to end or like god was throwing a hissy fit or something. it looked really bad. I kept seeing lightning and i would count to see how far away it was, and i would always count 2 or 3 seconds and like panic. haha cause 2-3 miles isn't that far away ToT hahaha the funny thing was, as i was standing at the bus stop and everything was going on, across the street i see this guy with glass, playing his guitar in the rain, with no umbrella and no care in the world. haha he was just grooving away on his guitar. haha hippy... anyways i came home and bought a ice coffee from 7'11 for a dollar (great deal! limited time only ._.) and watched the laker game where magics got blown out. so yea, pretty scary da.
