Flu Shot
A lot of people are getting sick these days. I have been. Been kinda sick the last 4-5 days. Feeling a lot better these last 2 days. Well none the less, like 2 weeks ago i signed up for a free flu shot today at adventist. I got a prearranged absence and left after 5th period. It felt weird being the only student walking away from school. But i didn't want to stay there for another 2 hours anyways, so i'll take the shot instead of school anyday. So as i was walking towards the max, i was near that one park lot place, and in the bush kinda, i see a man facing the wall. He was peeing... -.- seriously... that was gross.. in public.. hmm should i have called the police? i wasn't really sure tho, but it's kinda obvious what he was doing. Oh well. I continued to walk and got on the green line. I got to main street around 2 and my appointment was at 2:30. I went into the volunteer office and said i was there for the flu shot. I filled out a form and Donna said that there was a big gap difference between the sign up sheet. There was a 2 hour gap between the person that went before me and me so the nurse decided to take a break. so i had to sit and wait for like 20 min. after 20 min, i went to the office for the shot and when i got there the nurse said i need parent consent for the shot and told me to go back to the volunteer office and have Donna call my parents cause the nurse herself was too busy to do it for me. she was just sitting at her desk waiting for people to come in.. there was no one waiting.. anyways, i went back. but donna wasn't there.. i stood there waiting for another 20 min before someone told me she was at this meeting. so i went there to look for her. apparently someone was retiring and they had a thing for her. so after that, i found Donna and we went to make the call. so finally, after 40 min of total waiting i finally could get my shot. As the nurse gave me the shot, it felt different then the one i've gotten in the past. Then the nurse said "sorry that didn't go in right" i was thinking what?! does this mean i have to retake it?! but then she said "it didn't go in as smoothly, i'm sorry." she didn't have to regive me the shot, so i left. When i was on the max going home, some kid from Madison or something got caught without bus fare for the max by the police haha. That pretty much ends my boring tale of my day. i'm sorry if you had to read all this and felt it was pointless :D
